Dr. Kumar was a recommendation from a family friend -- a very bad recommendation. Dr. Kumar is not thorough, does not listen to you, makes assumptions and is absolutely and completely inappropriate. He made assumptions about my son's condition before he even asked me any details or symptoms, or doing any examination, dismissed our concerns and told us why we should not be concerned, and he was wrong. He even stated that chiropractors tell you that you have problems that you really don't have just to make money! Yes, he really stated this. Then he proceeded to tell me that I didn't have the condition that I have been diagnosed with by a doctor and a chiropractor and 2 x-ray diagnosticians (also doctors); all of this supposition when he himself, Dr. Kumar, did not have any of my medical records or x-rays or consultation with my doctors -- and did I mention that this appointment was for my son? Too much of Dr. Kumar's attention was on me, and he adamantly focused on telling me that I did not have a condition that I do indeed have, instead of focusing on my son like he should have; I called my doctors to confirm that I am afflicted with the condition that Dr. Kumar flippantly told me that I do not have. Dr. Kumar did not conduct himself in a professional manner whatsoever. All of this inappropriate conduct toward me was directly in front of my son. Do you get the picture? I chalked up my wasted time and money, and his inappropriate, degrading and humiliating comments toward and about me and chiropractic care, based on assumption and supposition by an unprofessional lame doctor, as a lesson learned -- read reviews of pediatricians before you go, he got a 3 out of 5 on one website (my son's previous pediatrician, Dr. Azar Dashti, gave my son terrible care received only a 2&1/2 out of 5 on the same website, healthgrades.com, scroll toward bottom of the page to find the individual doctor's rating, otherwise, you may only see the rating for the entire practice near the top of the page and it may be a much higher rating than the individual doctor of the practice; I guess that it's pretty accurate). It shouldn't be difficult for a good pediatrician to receive a 5 out of 5, and there are several pediatricians on the healthgrades.com website that do have a 5 out of 5 rating; I think that I will try one of those next.
A medical license is required for a doctor to practice in any given state. Requirements vary by state but most require, at a minimum, post-graduate training in the doctor's specific specialty. Dr. Kush Kumar is NOT confirmed to have a license in CA and FL.

BEWARE THE WORST BACK DOCTORS:
An Aiken Regional Medical Centers doctor was jailed over the weekend after an alleged attack on the home of a former girlfriend.
Dr. Edwin V. Martinez de Andino, 47, of Meadow Drive in Aiken, is charged with first- degree burglary and two counts of malicious injury to personal property after an alleged attack in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A first-degree burglary charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
According to police reports, around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, Martinez de Andino entered the garage of a Wagener Road home through a locked side door. The residents were awakened by pounding on a door. The victim alleged that the doctor punched the door, causing the door panel to split. He then went to a window and struck it with his fist, causing it to break. He proceeded to the front door and began to pound on it.
The residents moved to the front door, and Martinez de Andino allegedly shouted, "Going to kill you, you b****," and that they needed to open the front door because he was going to "kill that b****."
After failing to get into the house, the subject allegedly turned his attention to the victims' cars. The report claims he went to one car, a 2002 Lexus, and pulled the rear spoiler off. He then reportedly broke the taillights of a 2007 Chevy Silverado.
The report states that the doctor then left the scene but was soon stopped and questioned by an Aiken County Sheriff's Office deputy.
Both Martinez de Andino and a female resident of the home told law enforcement that the pair had previously been boyfriend and girlfriend but did not live together.
Martinez de Andino's spouse came to the scene of the traffic stop, and the vehicle driven by her husband was turned over to her.
Martinez de Andino reportedly had injuries, which were photographed by investigators. The spoiler of the car and a broken storm window were also recovered for evidence.
The defendant is a rheumatologist and board certified doctor of internal medicine with ARMC. A spokesperson for ARMC had no comment on the arrest or charges.

Next month a variety of events for adults and children will commemorate Martin Luther King Day in the Capital District. We will celebrate the accomplishments of this minister and civil rights leader, honor his commitment to nonviolent action, and, for many of us, follow his lead with a Day of Service to our communities. After more than a decade of slow progress in civil rights, many African Americans began to question Dr. King’s strategy of nonviolent activism. This was particularly true of young people in the 1960s, and Kekla Magoon’s 2009 novel The Rock and the River (Simon & Schuster) captures the generational divisions that emerged in the movement’s second decade. As in Hoose’s biography of Colvin, Dr. King makes an appearance in The Rock and the River, as a colleague of 13-year-old protagonist Sam Childs’s father. Sam’s father, Roland Childs, is a lawyer in Chicago and a follower of Dr. King. Sam’s older brother, Steven (who Sam has nicknamed Stick), has grown impatient with the slow rate of change and the continued racism and police brutality common even in the North. Stick, along with several older friends, has joined the Black Panthers. Sam finds himself growing closer to the Panthers, especially after the assassination of Dr. King on April 4, 1968 and the police beating of a family friend. Other heroes include Alberto Mora, the former Navy general counsel who waged a lonely battle to revoke Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s interrogation directive authorizing abuses at the Guantánamo Bay prison; and Antonio Taguba, the Army major general who says he was forced to retire after his frank report on the sadistic treatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib. There are others. This modest awards proposal has lately assumed a degree of urgency. After the killing of Osama bin Laden, some — like John Yoo, the Bush Justice Department lawyer who twisted the Constitution and the Geneva Conventions to excuse the inexcusable — argued that waterboarding and other abuses were both proper and necessary.
Ten leading civil liberties and human rights groups, including the A.C.L.U. and Human Rights First, have called on President Obama to honor all who bravely said no when the country veered off course. Recognizing them would not discharge Mr. Obama’s failed duty to find ways to further accountability. But it would be a start.
